Challenges and Solutions
Preserving the integrity of this Grade II listed masterpiece posed unique challenges. One significant hurdle was the inability to tie the scaffold into the building, necessitating the design and installation of freestanding scaffold with buttress and kentledge support. Additionally, the presence of bats in the area mandated the development and adherence to a comprehensive bat mitigation plan throughout the project.
Despite these challenges, we have proactively addressed every obstacle to ensure a seamless refurbishment process. Our team has meticulously planned the project, including the completion of scaffold and temporary roof, followed by the commencement of roof replacement works. One of our top priorities is consideration to the buildings residents who will remain in occupation throughout the entire project. To achieve this, we have implemented detailed plans and procedures to monitor and minimize disruptions, guaranteeing that the residents are unaffected by the construction activities.
As we move forward, our focus is on the completion of the scaffold and temporary roof. Simultaneously, we will commence the roof replacement works, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional results, preserving the historical charm of Tewin Water House while ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of its residents.
We are honoured to be entrusted with the restoration of this architectural gem. Stay tuned for more updates as we progress through this exciting journey of preserving the past and creating a splendid future.
